It is safe to say that life inside a densely populated city is never dull. Bright and loud billboards take up a huge chunk of visual real estate, people and vehicles are in constant motion to and from A to B.

What happens if there is some kind of existential crisis within the city due to an act of God or anything else? What if it was not a doom and gloom answer?

Perhaps billboards and lights would still be on for a short while. People would hastily move out or stay in. The city would then be met with an uncanny silence and melancholy emptiness that surrounds it.

The process behind this digital animated painting was effective. The text to AI generations on the billboard meta provided an element of juxtaposition between nature and technology.

Only 1 version was planned initially. The Noir variant came by happenstance when I uploaded a WIP on social media. To my surprise the blackout effect had a really unique look to it. I then pronounced the shadows and lighting more and redesigned a new set of meta billboards to go with it to produce 2 unique versions.

Both art pieces are part of the 1-1 harmonized collection.

Note: A 42cm x 60cm physical framed version will be awarded to primary and secondary holders. More information on that coming later.
